CPCS Assessment Overview
Looking to gain your CPCS card? Our CPCS assessment process is designed to ensure you have both the knowledge and practical skills required to operate plant machinery safely and effectively.
CPCS Theory Test
The theory test is delivered as a verbal recording and typically lasts up to 1 hour. If you require an interpreter, additional time of up to 2 hours will be provided.
The number of questions will vary depending on the category of plant you are being assessed on. To successfully pass, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 80%. Our team is here to support you in preparing for this stage to give you the best chance of success.
CPCS Practical Test
The practical assessment takes place at our fully equipped CPCS Training Centre at leicester, where you will demonstrate your ability to safely operate the relevant machinery.
The duration of the test depends on the specific plant category. Our experienced assessors will guide you through the process, ensuring a fair and professional assessment environment.
Some machinery categories are classified as “Off-Centre Machines.” If you are unsure whether this applies to your test, our team will be happy to advise.
